We were the official photographers for the Lasalle Craft Beer Festival 2017. We had a blast trying all of the local beers. The food was awesome (I had the Apple Jack Pork Tacos – WOW). Sadly, weather shut it down before Saturday night could get going strong, but check out the full gallery of photos I got before the big wind storm rolled in.
We couldn’t have been happier with the wedding we shot yesterday. We bet Jessica and Corey are feeling the same way today. Their classy, country style wedding was beautifully executed in every way. Champagne. Shotguns. Cowboy boots. Flowers in her hair. Kids giggling. Barns. Friends. Golf. Family. Dancing. Wedding cake cut with an orange hunting knife. Bride with a beer. LOVE. It’s a Gemus thing.
15 years! That’s how long these high school sweethearts have been in love. From what we saw yesterday, they have the rest of their lives to genuinely live, love and laugh together. Ceremony and reception were at Oxley Estate Winery and the bride did all of the decor and little touches herself. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. The ceremony was so touching – they chose to seal a wooden box with a bottle of wine and love letters inside. It’s to be opened on their 5th anniversary (which will be 20 years together!) – and they’ll share the tradition again on their 10th and 15th and so on. Their bridal party was a lot of fun and featured a man of honour, family and friends. The food was AMAZING, the liquor and wine flowed, and the best time was had by all.
Congratulations Mandi and Jesse!
This little beauty turned one! Sophia: wearer of headbands, pink and purple princess, destroyer of cakes. Her mom’s singing of “Bubble bubble bubble…guppy guppy guppy!” got her smiling every time – and we couldn’t get it out of our heads for days! Sophia seriously kicked the crap out of this cake – there were bits of cake and icing EVERYWHERE by the time she was done!
We took a trip home to England for one of my best friend’s wedding. He and Kate met a few years back and have been inseparable ever since. I was an usher in the wedding (read: not the wedding photographer!) and so glad to be asked to share this lovely day in the presence of true love. Kate was a DIY bride extraordinaire (and Rob helped, too). Check out all the beautiful little touches.
This was an on-location shoot in Kitchener, Ontario with some of my wife’s extended family. We have a beautiful mum and her two strapping sons. All three of our models were simply fantastic to work with, and our sides hurt from laughing! Matthew is the spitting image of a certain Maroon 5 member and Mackenzie’s uncanny posing skills are one of a kind. Dawn chose an amazing location with a crazy cool old gas pump that we all loved. Thanks guys for the great session!
This lovely little family braved the rain with their umbrellas at Ojibway Park. We loved watching Ty splash in the puddles and Mayla try to keep up with her big brother. Even better, we were the only ones in the whole park! We even got to see deer (sadly, they wouldn’t pose for photos with us.) Thanks for a great shoot!
